Homestays that have completed background check procedure with law enforcement department will be awarded a Background Check Badge

How to get a Background Check badge if you are a host?
Consult your local police station to know more about the background check you need to go through. Get the document, navigate to Homestay Services, navigate to your published listing, navigate to Badges to Earn, and upload the document to obtain approval. It generally takes 5-20 business days subject to police station availability.

Institution Badge
Institution Badge meets the criteria of most ecuation institution requirements on homestay families in Canada and the United States. Homestays with Property Verification Badge and Background Check Badge are awarded the Institution Badge.
School Board Badges
Public schools in Canada are governed by various school boards across the country. Though most school boards do not constrain students in a particular kind of homestay, many school boards have their own requirements of homestays that they would prefer hosts to meet.
Homadorma would like to advocate the homestay preference of the school boards to bring trust and transparency to the market. We would like our hosts to meet the preferred requirements of the school boards, and introduce these quality homestays to our students.
