  • Where can I see my listing?

    Hosts can preview the listing immediately after the edit.

    To view your listing on Homadorma:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Public View or the thumbnail on the property summary
    3. You will be taken to your profile page that's visible in public

  • How do I update my homestay profile?

    To edit your homestay profile:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Edit on the property summary
    3. You are able to edit the following information:
      • Listing Settings. You may pause or activate your listing whenever you wish
      • Family Information. Your property address, contact information and your family member information.
      • Room & Meal Plan. You can set specific information related to the rooms you offer, such as price, meal plan, etc.
      • Photos and Video. You are encouraged to upload photos of your rooms and the dishes (if you choose to provide meals)
      • Homestay Features. You may set some extra information about your property. Indicate the pet information, such as cats and dogs. Introduce yourself or your property at the Self Introduction & Regulations section
      • Badges to Earn. You may check your Homadorma Badges status and submit your Background Check result here
      • Listing Plan. Hosts have options to subscribe to additional services on Homadorma. For example, Listing Plan allows you to directly invite students to book your homestay before students send in a booking request
    4. After editing, make sure to click the Save Changes.

  • Can I add more listing(s) if I have more than one property?

    Yes. Instead of creating a second account with another email address, hosts can simply add new listings under one account at Homestay Services.

    To add a new listing on Homadorma:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Add new listing
    3. You will be taken to a new window or tab to fill out the new property’s information
    4. Once you complete the new property listing application process, you are able to find it on the Homestay Services page. You may also preview and edit your new listing anytime you wish

  • How do I update my homestay address?

    Homestay property address can not be modified once it's entered at the registration.

    To correct your property address, you need remove the old property and then list a new property.

    Here is a step-by-step instruction:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Locate the property that contains the incorrect address info, and click the Edit button
    3. Select Listing Settings from the menu section
    4. Click Remove to remove the listing
    5. Go back to Homestay Services page
    6. Click Add a new listing
    7. Follow the instruction on the page to add a new listing. Please make sure to fill out the correct address info for your new listing

  • How do I edit the room price, room availability, and other room information?

    To edit your room’s information:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Edit on the property summary
    3. Click Edit on the bedroom summary
    4. You will be taken to the page to edit your bedroom information
    5. Make sure that the following information is up to date:
      • Room size
      • Room level
      • Bathroom sharing
      • Room availability
      • Room rental fee
      • Meal plan
      • Meal plan fee per calendar month (if applicable)
    6. Click Save Changes to save your edit
    7. After the edit, you can go back to the Rooms & Meal Plan page to edit your other room(s)

    After receiving your new complete address information, our host support will update the address for you.

  • How do I add a new room?

    To add a new room:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Edit on the property summary
    3. Click Add New Room
    4. You will be taken to the page to add your new bedroom information
    5. Make sure that the following information is filled:
      • Room size
      • Room level
      • Bathroom sharing
      • Room availability
      • Room rental fee
      • Meal plan
      • Meal plan fee per calendar month (if applicable)
    6. Click Save Changes to save your new room’s information
    7. After the edit, you can go back to the Rooms & Meal Plan page to see the added room summary

  • How do I add or edit self introduction?

    Self introduction is a great way to help students learn more about your family and the reason why choose your home. Homadorma allows you to write about your homestay and self introduction at Homestay Features.

    To add or edit self introduction:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Edit on the property that you’d like to make changes to
    3. Click on the Homestay Features option at menu section
    4. Introduce yourself and your homestay. Information that students would love to learn about includes:
      • Brief background about yourself and your family members
      • Highlights of your home location and amenities. For example: there’s a park nearby, you are very close to a bus stop/subway station, or walking distance to a school etc.
      • Whether you’ve had homestay hosting experience before. If yes, how many years of hosting experience?
      • Activities that students can join. For example: family parties, skiing, camping etc.
    5. Click Save Changes to save your self introduction

    Your self introduction will be visible to all students on the Public View

  • How do I add my house rules?

    There may be house rules or regulations that you'd like students to be aware of. Homadorma allows you to list the rules or regulations at Homestay Features.

    To add Homestay Regulations:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Edit on the property that you’d like to make changes to
    3. Click on the Homestay Features option at menu
    4. Add house rules or regulations at Self Introduction & Regulations section

    After editing, make sure to click Save Changes.

    Your house rules will be visible to all students on the Public View, and also HOST/RENTER AGREEMENT (after booking confirmation).

  • I have specific preferences towards certain students. Can I customize my preferences?

    You can update your preferences in each of your properties. To update your preference:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Click Edit on the property that you’d like to set your preferences
    3. Click on the Homestay Features option at the menu section
    4. On the Homestay Features page, you may set preference for students age, gender, and smoking
    5. If you have more preferences to add other than the default ones, please feel free to add them at the Self Introduction & Regulations section

    After editing, make sure to click Save Changes.

  • How do I update my host legal name?

    The host legal name can not be modified once entered in the family information page of your property. To make any changes to the legal name, you need remove your property and list a new property with the correct legal name.

    Here is a step-by-step instruction:

    1. Go to Homestay Services
    2. Locate the property that contains the incorrect legal name, and click the Edit button
    3. Select Listing Settings from the menu section
    4. Click Remove to remove the property
    5. Go back to Homestay Services page
    6. Click Add a new listing
    7. Follow the instruction on the page to add a new listing.
    8. After listing the new property, go to Homestay Services
    9. Locate the property that you just listed, and click the Edit button
    10. Select Family information from the menu section
    11. Enter the correct legal name of the host in the Legal Name field

  • Can I remove the property verification video?

    Regrettably, the property verification video cannot be deleted. Nevertheless, you can manage video access on homadorma.com. To customize your preferences:

    1. Navigate to Homestay Services
    2. Select Edit on the property that you’d like to configure video access
    3. Click on the Photos and Video option in the menu section
    4. In the Verified Video section, choose to make the video publicly accessible for all visitors on homadorma.com or limit access to students who contact you through the platform.

  • Can I delete all the verified photos?

    Yes, you have the option to delete all verified photos. However, it's important to note that removing all verified photos will lead to the removal of both the ID verification badge and the property verification badge associated with your account. Obtaining a new ID verification badge will require a fee of $99. Deleted photos and videos cannot be recovered.
