We have been a homestay host for the past 10 years. Majority of our students have stayed with us for a good two years (I have two HS students that stayed with me for 4 yrs), and have mostly been referral (classmate of our student, cousin of our student, or referred by an aunt of our student), and summer students. We treat our students like our own family member, we invite them to movies, dinners, lunches and sometimes. We just want our students to respect us and make our home as if they are theirs. I wash clothes for my students once a week . Nearest schools are Francis Libermann Catholic HS, Albert Campbell Collegiate, Pope John Paul Catholic HS, Centennial College (Morningside and Progress), U of T Scarborough, Seneca College Newnham Campus. All are about 10-35 minutes bus ride. Student has his/her own room, it is never shared so you can have your own privacy. Wifi is also unlimited, the house has centralized air conditioning and heating and the room has a ceiling fan, a desk, chair and a closet.
