Meals

Breakfast 		Host provides material, student prepares own breakfast
students usually eat cereal, waffles, fruit, toast, pastries, or whatever else they want. We also have an espresso machine for coffees and lattes.

Lunch 		Host provides material, student prepares own lunch
students usually pack left overs from dinner the night before, or a sandwich with fruit, snacks, and a water bottle. There is fresh water at the school.

Dinner 		Host prepares dinner for student
We have a cook and I also prepare meals. Pasta, chicken, burgers, pizza, fresh bread, perogies, stir fry, fried rice, lots of veggies if you like, fish and seafood as well. We put everything out like a buffet and the students select what they would like. We also have a soda stream that students have access to.

Host Preferences
  • Only accept students between 14-18 years old
  • No smoking inside the house

House rules
    House rules will be included in the contract after booking
    School night curfew is 10:00pm. Weekends 12:00am. Friends are allowed to sleepover. Just be respectful of other house members. Keep noise down.
    2 laundry days per bedroom. Students wash their own laundry.
    Keep bedroom and bathroom tidy. Students responsibitly to clean up after themselves including wet towels, bathroom counters, shared spaces to be tidy.
    Please don't eat in your room. If necessary, always bring dishes to the kitchen and put them in the dishwasher as soon as you are finished. We do not want to get bugs.
    Help your self to snacks as you wish. Treat this like your own home.
    Breakfast students make for themselves. Lots of options available. You can request food suggestions to be purchased on grocery shopping day.

    Students make their own lunches. There are tons of options. Suggestions are welcome and purchased on grocery shopping day.
    A hot dinner is prepared by host and served between 5:00 and 6:30 depending on the household activities that day. if you are not home for dinner, it's ok. We always cook lots and you can warm some up when you get home. You can also take leftovers to school the next day for lunch.

    We are a very easy going fun family. We just ask that you act with respect, and use common sense.
